Marketing Research company located in Banker's Hill is in need of a technical / business writer. The position entails being sent between 20-25 news articles per week that need to be summarized for publication. Each written article is no longer than 300 words / 2-3 paragraphs.

Only basic writing skills are required. The position absolutely requires the ability to read, process, and summarize news stories. Applicants will be asked to read / write a sample report as part of the hiring process (unpaid). Position can be performed at home, we prefer someone in San Diego, and Monday availability is a must. Startup element of a very established website/blog looking for Senior Editor.

SENIOR EDITOR Responsibilities
*Managing remote working team of 15-20 writers; organizing their assignment deadlines, communicating specific assignments to writers, and accepting/rejecting completed assignments.
*Hiring, contracting, onboarding, training, and firing *gasp* new team members as necessary.
*Handling monthly invoices for all remote writers.
*Lightly editing 300-550 incoming articles per month and preparing completed articles in daily packages to be distributed daily amongst several different web site topic areas, keeping at least one week ahead of scheduled posting dates. Assist writers and others in uploading articles to content management system.
*Brainstorm and assign 300-550 monthly topics for writers to write about.
*Writing articles on short notice whenever necessary.
*Adjusting above schedule per company changes.
